    Urban Water

Florida's water resources are at a predisposed risk for pollution due to distinctive geologic features, climate, and population pressures.

Florida's water resources are at a predisposed risk for pollution due to distinctive geologic features, climate, and population pressures.

Florida homeowners and commercial property managers rely on the professional horticulture industry for landscape management of their property. Inappropriate landscape management practices including water use, chemical applications, and plant selection can negatively impact the environment.

UF/IFAS Extension research and science-based educational programs can provide the professional horticulture industry, homeowners, and builder-developers with best management practices and skills necessary to create and manage landscapes, reduce risk to the environment, and protect natural resources.

    Specific topics

    Builders and Developers

Florida is building more new homes than any other state, placing increased demands on our natural resources. See Programs

    Homeowners

Florida homeowners can only improve their landscape practices and reduce their environmental impact with the right information. See Programs

    Landscape Professionals

Landscape professionals are people working in lawn-care and landscape maintenance. UF/IFAS Extension offers a variety of professional development and continuing education training to help conserve and protect Florida's ground and surface waters. See Programs
